Ballydemo is on the R412, about 40 minutes west of the nearest city and 15 minutes from the N-road junction at Kilcrannock.
By car
From the east, leave the motorway at Junction 9 and follow signs for Kilcrannock, then Ballydemo. The last stretch is a narrow coast road — beautiful, but take it slowly in winter.
From the south, the coast route through Ardnahinch adds about twenty minutes and is worth it in good weather.
Parking: free at the harbour car park (40 spaces) and on Chapel Street. The harbour fills quickly on summer weekends and market Saturdays.
By bus
Route 288 runs between the city and Ballydemo three times daily on weekdays, twice on Saturdays, and not at all on Sundays. The journey takes about an hour. The stop is outside the post office on Main Street.

By train
The nearest station is Kilcrannock, 15 km away. There is no onward bus connection, so you'll need a taxi (roughly €25) or a lift. Two local taxi drivers serve the village; numbers are on the Contact page.
By bike
The Coast Greenway passes 3 km north of the village, with a signed spur down into Ballydemo. Bike racks at the harbour and outside the community hall.
Accessibility
Main Street and the harbour front are flat and step-free. The path to the old pier is uneven and not suitable for wheelchairs. Accessible parking is available beside the community hall.
